I don’t know about you but this year, I needed to be done with coffee. Both Kyle and I have already high histamine levels so when adding in coffee each day, especially before eating, it was really sending us both into much higher anxiety and stress levels which we both promised to leave behind in 2021! So, in hopes of really keeping things as peaceful and calm as possible, we both decided, all caffeine had to go.

I don’t know about you but right now, I am all about anything natural that I can be taking to keep myself as healthy as can be, and recently, I have been reading and learning more about Dandelion Root and how powerful it really is! According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dandelion is known to remove the heat from the liver to help both lungs and the stomach and it is also known for boosting moods and for supporting your gastrointestinal & digestive health.
I’m not sure about you, but sometimes life just calls for a chilled glass of wine or champagne. Whether it’s to celebrate a special occasion or to wind down after a long week, wine is something that is a part of most people’s lives however, after learning about all of the harmful ingredients in conventional wine, it became something I did less and less of. Even though it is not something I use often, I still like to make sure that whatever wine I do drink is as clean as it can be!
Alright, let’s talk tasty. I think we can all remember the days where we went out to a nice relaxing dinner but those days are gone so here we are, learning how to cook! One of the meals I always really liked, way back when, were lettuce wraps, especially PF Chang’s version. I have not had them in years but I always remember that savory yet sweet flavor and satisfying crunch of the lettuce. It just felt like a complete and satisfying meal, however, we have since become more strict Organic, GF & Plant-based which means no more PF Changs! To ensure our fellow foodies aren’t missing out, we are sharing our remake recipe below!
If you follow a bunch of health-focused peeps on Instagram, you have probably heard of the Pique Tea brand before but for those that have yet to, you must and here’s why! I don’t know about you all but I haven’t felt like leaving home lately **sarcasm**, so finding businesses that deliver local, fresh and organic produce has been key for us! I have posted a few different options to choose from this month but now that I have had time to try them out, I want to share some more in-depth feedback on the food delivery services that I have been loving. I purchase all of these items on my own with the intent being to truly find you the best options so keep on reading if you’re in need of some produce deliveries, discount codes included!
Hi everyone, Kyle here to share with you a new plant-based recipe we put together this week! Both Amanda and I took one bite and looked at each other with the ughhhh my gawd face due to the flavor. It just hits all the notes you want in a pesto pasta, and then some! I love that this pasta not only for the insane flavor but that it is entirely plant-based but packed full of protein, fiber, and nutrients thanks to the pasta, quinoa, kale, and sauces. I’m not saying this dish is exactly “healthy” if you are trying to be on a strict diet because it is calorically dense but it sure is a tasty, healthier comfort food option. The best way I can describe this meal is decadent yet delightful! It is also quite filling but that did not stop me from eating two large bowls of it. This can also be reheated the next day so having leftovers is great. This recipe makes a lot so I would probably estimate this would certainly feed a family of 4-5 people. I’m going to try and break it down as easily as I can in this blog so you all can try it too. Let us know how you and your family enjoy it!
When it comes to choosing the best food for your pets, it can be so very overwhelming. Depending on who you ask, you can get a million different responses on what the best diet is for dogs. Grain-free, raw, soy-free, corn-free, Vegan, so, who do you trust? I can not tell you that one, but, what I can tell you is the route we took in hopes that it helps you decide what’s best for you and your pet as well!
For the last few years, I was feeding my dogs Acana dog food thinking it was a more “high end” and clean option, however, after watching the pet food documentary called Pet Fooled I, unfortunately, learned that even nicer brands of kibble, like my fave Acana, can become carcinogenic due to being heated at high levels that in return creates a carcinogenic effect which, for us meant, bye-bye to all kibble. I wanted to have a blog on how we make our dog food but please note, this is just our personal routine and you should look for your own holistic vet in your area to get the perfect, well-balanced diet for your pet!
Move over almond lattes, there is a new nut milk in town and get excited because it’s both delicious and packed full of beneficial fatty acids to keep you both satisfied and healthy! I have heard of using Macadamia Nut milk before but it wasn’t until Jena from Agent Nateur did a story on macadamia nuts being less inflammatory than almonds on the body that I decided to really give it a try. Besides being a great option for anyone with peanut, soy, or almond allergies, Macadamia nuts have lower Omega-6 fats which means you are getting a higher-quality source of fat than other nuts, all with a much lower risk of inflammation. Oh, and! You do not have to rinse or strain these which is a major win for us lazies.
