My all-time favorite lipstick used to be MAC’s Faux, so for anyone who loved that color also, but wanted a safer swap, here are some similar colors! I find that if I add Gabriel Cosmetic’s Taupe color with the Lauren Brooke Peluche, it’s pretty much identical but I’m still looking for one lipstick that is the perfect match. Have one to suggest? Comment below! In the meantime, here are some colors that are similar for anyone else who loves a taupe mauve color as I do!

Every now and then I tend to splurge, however, whatever it is, always has to be worth it. I recently came across a brand called Arya Essentials, and while yes, it is a bit on the pricier side, when you learn more about the line you realize that the luxurious ingredients certainly justify the cost! So, for anyone who wants the best of the best when it comes to their oils, Arya Essentials is it! Of course, there are more affordable options, but today I will share more about this line for those interested!
Arya Essentials Philosophy-
- Always use Organic, Wild-Crafted, and Biodynamic ingredients from sustainable sources.
- Their products never contain GMOs, sulfates, mineral oils, synthetic dyes or scents, gluten or fillers.
- All products and ingredients are Cruelty-Free, always.
- Arya Essential always strives to bring you products of the purest and highest quality to heal and revitalize your skin as you embark on your personal journey to a more naturally beautiful you.
Now that you know how amazing their brand is, let’s talk about the two items I tried from the line! Arya Essentials was kind enough to send me these two items, however, I was not obligated to share them with you unless I enjoyed them. I am happy to report that I did!
I love that more and more influential women like Gisele are speaking out about how toxic conventional sunscreens are. Back in 2011 Gisele publicly spoke out saying “I cannot put this poison on my skin, I do not use anything synthetic.” Her tips for safer sun protection? She avoids the sun during peak times and instead opts for heading outside earlier or later in the days.
So, what’s the deal with sunscreens? Well, most contain Oxybenzone, a hormone-disrupting chemical that can penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream where it’s shown to attack DNA cells. Many even contribute this chemical to the rise of Melanoma, yes that’s right SUNSCREEN may cause cancers more than the actual sun! Oxybenzone also comes with links to breast cancer, eczema, allergic reactions and more. For the full article on chemical-based sunscreen risks, click here.
If you have to go out in the sun, here are some tips!
- Avoid peak hours, head outside earlier or later in your day.
- Wear a large hat, and loose clothing to protect your skin when outside.
- If you still need sunscreen, choose a safer brand like Raw Elements USA that is Organic, Non-Nano mineral based and super clean, they even have tinted ones to avoid white streaks! Code organicbunny saves $$ too!
- Re-apply your sunscreen after getting wet, sweating, or just after 2 hours or so of being outside. 1 application of sunscreen never equals all day protection.
These are such important tips, please share these with your friends before Summer hits!
Dashing out the door to pick Kyle up from the airport but wanted to post this look really quick! I just tried out a bunch of new items from Nu Evolution Cosmetics and I am really, really pleasantly surprised with the results! For anyone not familiar with Nu Evolution yet, they are a new makeup line that uses certified Organic, Non-Nano, clean ingredients, and never uses the bad guys like Parabens, Bismuth Oxychloride, BHT, Artificial Fragrances, Phenoxyethanol and more!
I rarely mix my makeup routine up, because I am very picky with the makeup I use, but today, I am glad I did because I just might have a new favorite liquid foundation! I really did enjoy the Nu Evolution foundation as it doesn’t sit super dewy like most of the natural ones I have do. It’s really nice to finally have a medium matte foundation back, comparable to my old Estee Lauder Double Wear. While the finish is matte, it’s not too matte if that makes sense? It’s like the perfect, non-dewy, but still flexible finish! I also am obsessed with the lipsticks, they’re SO soft, smooth and pretty on, and their shadows? Kiss MAC goodbye, no seriously, they’re so pigmented and pretty, I am forever a fan!
Anyway, here are the items I used to complete this look, and for anyone wanting to try this new line out! Update- This is an older post so I was way more tanned here!
