Sunless tanning is one beauty product I just can’t seem to quit, however, finding one that was as safe as possible, but that still performed well seemed to be a challenge! That was until I discovered this Chocolate Sun brand last year and I must say, I’ve been obsessed ever since! Besides smelling like divine, fresh chocolate, this sunless tanner applies amazing, so smooth and creamy, and really does create the most gorgeous color out of any others I’ve tried! Made with Eco-Certified DHA derived from Sugar Beets, Organic Aloe, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Cocoa, Vanilla + more, this Vegan-friendly tanner can be used on both the face + body and it comes in three different shades, Light-Medium-Dark!
Shade- The Dark color is best for those with dark skin tones or for those wanting the most color possible. This is not too dark but dark enough to see some nice color that can also be used nightly for more dramatic darkness.
Preparation- Skin must be exfoliated, clean, dry, and free of all other products. Shake product vigorously prior to application and prepare a damp cloth and a dry cloth prior to starting your application. These cloths will be used to wipe the palms of your hands every so often during application, to prevent the product from settling into your skin.
Application Tricks- Use gentle, large, circular strokes for application to body – overlapping each stroke to avoid streaking and missed areas. Favorite self tanner on the market and it’s CLEAN!!!! I love putting a little on one day and do another lather a little more the next day. I feel that way I know I won’t streak and the color is the perfect sun kissed glow for me. It has a little of your typical self tanner smell but hours later and nothing like the ones you get in the stores.

This product is so so so amazing! It is not orange AT ALL. It smells great while applying and only has the slightest self tanner smell after it’s fully processed. I usually apply it right before bedtime and wake up to beautifully tanned skin! It doesn’t transfer on bedding or clothing at all. It is the most believable “fake” tan that I’ve ever used! I’ve received tons of compliments and sent several friends here to purchase it with no complaints from any of them!!

I purchased chocolate sun last summer to use while at the beach. I applied it with a tanning mitt to prevent streaking. I am fair skinned but do tan well during the summer so I did not feel like this was too dark for me. This is the best sunless tanning lotion I have tried as it did not make my skin orange.

This self tanner works great! I have light skin with freckles and I love the color I get from using it. It is very easy to apply and I clean my hands off with a damp towel when I’m done. It smells great and lasts for a week.

Easiest self tanner ever! After exfoliating in the shower I just slather it everywhere (including face), wash my palms off, and then forget about it! It absorbs quickly and I’ve never had it transfer to clothing. Super moisturizing too! I love the color 3, but if I feel it will be a bit too dark I just add some normal lotion in my hand with it, mix it up, apply, and it tones it down just enough!

This is my favorite tanning lotion so far. It feels like i am putting on a lotion because it is so moisturizing and not to mention i like the smell of it. It smells like sweet chocolate so not your typical tanning lotion smell at all! I will actually wear this during the day under a sweat outfit and it won’t transfer on clothes which is really nice. It takes about 4 days of using it to get to the color i like!

This applies easily, and without streaks as long as you make effort to apply evenly. Really great color & not too orange. I don’t even use a mitt or gloves, just wash my hands after. I love that this has better ingredients than most tanners. On me, there’s still a bit of that tanner smell after it develops. But it’s not as bad as others I’ve tried. The dark shade isn’t too dark even when I don’t have a base tan.

This tanning lotion is the easiest tanning product I have used. No streaks and the most beautiful tan color. My upset and lower body tan easily from walking outside, so I needed a product to even out my midsection. It smells great when applied. I still had a minimal tanning smell after I developed but it was significantly better than typical tanning product. I will repurchase!

The very best sunless tanner I’ve ever tried and it smells AMAZING to boot! It’s easy to apply and I really didn’t struggle with streaks, etc. It never seemed orange like some do either.

Best self tanner I’ve ever tried. It goes on so smooth and it doesn’t streak or leave any marks. It doesn’t transfer on sheets or clothes. I have light skin and I use the absolute tan (the darkest) and it doesn’t look too dark or orangey. The chocolate scent is ah!mazing when you put it on. Then later there is a little bit of self tan developing scent (you know what I am talking about) but it is very subtle … I have sensitive nose so maybe only I can smell it.

Got this in 2020 I think (old packaging at the time) and was not disappointed. It legit smells like chocolate, spreads nicely and absorbs quite quickly. The tan doesn’t last too long but it does leave a lovely shade .. not too dark and best of all, not orangey. Idk if people with darker skin tones would see a difference.. I tan quite easily and used on my paler legs as they don’t get much sun.. and noticed a nice difference. A joy to use without the harsh chemical scents.
